Where to start?

VeeFriends has fully embraced the world of physical collectibles, expanding into trading cards, pins, stickers, comics, and more. With multiple new releases each year this can be overwhelming for new collectors or people new to the IP, so let's break it down.

Step 1: Figure out what you want to collect!

Are you a set builder and want to collect every character of one specific set? Are you a character maxi and want to collect everything from your favorite veefriend? Do you want to collect just one specific collectible, like the pins or comics?

Step 2: Research and connect with others!

Once you figured out what type of collector you are, research where to find your some of the collectibles, especially if they are from older releases. Compare prices and if a set is even still possible to collect. Connect with other Veefriends community members and collectors, people who have been part of VF for a while might be able to help you track down rarer collectibles.

Step 3: SET A BUDGET! I mean it!

Collecting is a fantastic hobby but breaks and the newest drop can get out of hand quick when you are chasing your favorite character. Don't FOMO! There will be another drop and another and another! That's why Step 1 is so important! Trust me, you DON'T need it all, especially if you can't afford it.

Characters to watch for

Certain characters in VeeFriends carry a bit more value than others. Some because they where a short print, some because of their story in the comics, others because of the maxi's (collectors) behind them.

Protecting Your collectibles

Learn how to protect and store your valuable Veefriends collectibles effectively.

Each of your cards and stickers should be at least in a penny sleeve.

Your numbered and higher valued hits should be in a toploader. They have different sizes - Series 2 cards and stickers = 35 point, chrome cards = 59 pt

Card Savers are similar to toploaders, its a personal choice which one you like more. Grading companies prefer cards send in card savers.

Mag cases are another way to protect high end cards from getting damaged.

These are an extra protection for your cards when shipping or to protect slabs from getting scrates. They come in different sizes for cards and slabs.

Grading Your collectibles

Grading is the process of evaluating the condition of a collectible—like a trading card, comic, or sticker—by a professional third-party service.
The item is inspected for things like centering, corners, edges, and surface quality, and then assigned a numeric score (typically on a 1–10 scale). The higher the grade, the more valuable and desirable the item becomes—especially for collectors and resellers.
For example, a card graded Gem Mint 10 by PSA, BGS, or CGC can sell for significantly more than an ungraded version. It’s also a way to authenticate the item and protect it in a tamper-proof case.
